We have a vested interest in badminton and the future of badminton. We want to encourage juniors to take up a sport which can offer them an excellent opportunity to keep fit, have fun, socialise and be competitive.
Think badminton is a slow gentle sport played in the garden!
Our junior club runs on a Friday evening from 7-10pm on all four courts at Devizes Leisure Centre.
It closes during school holidays. Check the calendar page to see when the next session is on.
Session 1 runs from 7-8pm and is for the younger players or those just starting. Session 2 runs from 7-9pm and is for the older/intermediate player. Session 3 runs from 8-10pm and is for the more advanced players. Our coaches will advise on the best session to attend during the initial correspondence.
The first attendance is free and subsequent costs are £2.50 per hour. There is a joining fee of £20 which allows the club to register each player with Badminton England and includes the supply of a team shirt.
This membership has its benefits which can be viewed here.
It is open to juniors in year 2 and up, however, if you have a younger child that is keen to play please contact one of our coaches.
DBC currently has a combination of L2 and L1 coaches on hand to help coach.
Two of these coaches will always be available on junior club night.
With our qualified club coaches, we ensure children are coached in a safe and secure environment, with the emphasis on fun, good sportsmanship and a positive attitude towards sport.

We work closely with the county coaches and some of our junior players have already progressed on to the Wiltshire county junior squads.
If attending we would ask that juniors wear suitable footwear, "clean" non-marking trainers or court shoes.
It is advisable to change into your shoes on arrival at the sports centre.
Clothing, we ask that children wear shorts, skorts or tracksuits, no jeans, please.
Note! in the interest of safety, we will stop individuals playing who do not have the appropriate attire.
Rackets and shuttles will be supplied so are not essential however if your child has a racket please bring it along.
The last thing. "Water" please bring a bottle no fizzy drinks though.
